POLICIES

Due to the limited number of rooms at our inns, cancellations affect us greatly so please be sure of your plans before you book with us.  Please call if you are unclear about the cancel policy before booking with us.  We recommend buying trip insurance to mitigate your losses due to a late cancellation.  

 Payment-- We take Visa, MasterCard, Discover for the payment.  The charge will show on your credit card bill as inn&icecreamgettysbg  . 

Deposit-- Half of the total of your room/s stay is due at time of booking and the other half is due 2 weeks prior to the check-in date. 

Cancellation--If you call me directly to cancel or cancel on our direct book platform on this page at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival date, then we will refund half of your deposit (25% of the total room price), 

If you give us less than 2 weeks notice of cancellation you may lose the whole amount  of the stay unless we are able to re-rent your room  at the full price or you can find a suitable substitute and collect from or give it to them.

If you rent 2 or more rooms we ask for 3 weeks notice due to having to possibly re-rent 2 rooms.

Children-- Our inns are not appropriate for children under 6 years of age.  Children are not to be left alone at the inn for any amount of time.  

We have no extra beds in the rooms other than the 2 bedroom suite at each inn which can accommodate a 3rd or 4th  at Sentimental or a 5th   person at Sleepy Hollow.

Pets-- No pets are allowed at either inn.  

Smoking-- No smoking inside either inn or within 15 feet of any entrance.  

Lit candles in your room are not allowed.

Early arrival-  Our guests who are arriving to Gettysburg before 3 pm may park in our lots beginning at 1 pm.  Guests checking out may leave their cars in our parking till 1 pm (keep the parking pass on dash please).

Check-in for A Sentimental Journey 431 Baltimore St. is from 3 till 9 pm by coming into Cone Sweet Cone ice cream shop at 433 Baltimore St. 

Check-in for Sleepy Hollow Manor is from 3 till 9 pm by calling us 15 minutes prior to arriving so that we can meet you at the inn.

Late check-in — If you must arrive after 9 pm please call us by 9 pm with an estimated time of arrival.  Any arrival after midnight may result in a $40 inconvenience fee.

Check-out is by 11 am.

Any damages to the room or it's contents that occurs during your stay will be charged to your card.

Item left behind will be shipped back to you if you desire for the cost of shipping plus $10 handling fee or we can hold it for up to 6 months for you.
